Currently she is the skating coach for the ECHL Florida Everblades along with the Jr. Everblades at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. Sarah grew up a competitive figure skater in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. She is a US Figure Skating triple gold medalist in Moves in the Field, Ice Dancing, and Solo Free Dance. During her time as a figure skater, she always had a heart for coaching. Sarah started coaching in 2011 in Hampton Roads for both figure skaters and hockey players. In 2021, Sarah made the full time switch to hockey as a power skating instructor and launched Bolt Power Skating. During that time, she also moved to Richmond, VA. She worked with the Richmond Generals Tier ll teams as their power skating coach from 2020-2023. In 2023, Sarah made the move to Hertz Arena in Estero, FL. She works with the Jr. Everblades (Tier II), Florida Alliance (AAA) and the Florida Everblades (ECHL) as their power skating coach. Sarah also holds a gold level judging certification with the Ice Sports Industry. Sarah believes that proper skating technique is foundational to creating lightning fast skaters. She puts a strong emphasis on edge work & proper body posture. This in return increases balance, stability & agility on the ice. Sarah is a devout Christian. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Regent University. She currently lives in Bonita Springs, FL.
